Role Description
As the Chief of Staff at Tribute Labs, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the operational backbone of the company. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll be responsible for ensuring smooth operations across the organization, driving key initiatives forward, and fostering a culture of efficiency and collaboration. This role is multifaceted, requiring you to wear many hats—project manager, operational strategist, people leader, and coach. You will have a bird's-eye view of key verticals, ensuring alignment and coordination across teams, with an emphasis on operational effectiveness. You'll also be instrumental in freeing up the CEO's time by handling critical projects and supporting the team's operational needs. This is a highly adaptive role with the flexibility to take on evolving responsibilities as the company grows. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and can quickly pivot between different responsibilities. They must be comfortable with ambiguity, able to influence without formal authority, and skilled at keeping projects moving forward and teams on track.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize company-wide processes to drive corporate alignment and operational excellence
- Implement and track KPIs and OKRs to assess organizational effectiveness and project progress
- Lead and manage cross-functional projects, driving initiatives from ideation to completion, ensuring all projects meet their milestones and operational bottlenecks are addressed
- Design and implement strategies to improve organizational structures, processes, and systems that support business objectives and drive efficiency
- Continuously assess and adapt processes and strategies to support the company's scaling efforts, building a strong operational foundation for sustainable growth
- Provide operational and strategic support to the CEO, freeing up time for high-impact areas by owning operational initiatives and stepping in to get critical tasks over the finish line
- Serve as a key liaison across departments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration between leadership and the broader team
- Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions when implementing new processes or organizational changes
- Serve as a thought partner to the CEO, identifying operational gaps, areas for innovation, and ensuring that key initiatives are prioritized and executed
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, and talent development processes to attract and retain top talent while fostering a collaborative and innovative culture
- Develop and maintain key documentation, including employee handbooks, SOPs, and other resources to support team operations
- Ensure the smooth planning and execution of team meetings, and internal community-building activities, creating an environment that fosters collaboration and connection, especially among remote team members
Requirements
You're a highly organized and versatile leader who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. You have the ability to influence without formal authority and excel at keeping projects moving forward and teams on track.
- 3+ years of experience in operations, project management, or executive support roles
- Proven track record of managing cross-functional projects and driving operational excellence
- Strong leadership and communication skills with experience in change management
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and pivot between different responsibilities
- Experience with KPI/OKR implementation and tracking
- Background in HR operations, talent development, and team building
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in startups or high-growth environments preferred
- Understanding of DAO and web3 technologies is a plus
